G. EDWARD DICKEY, Ph.D.
Dr. G. Edward Dickey, Ph.D., Senior Advisor, has over three decades of experience in national planning, programming, and policy for the water resources program of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and as a professor of economics. Dr. Dickey served in several capacities up to Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works and later as Chief of the Planning Division in the Corps of Engineers Headquarters. His teaching roles include the University of Maryland and Loyola College. His Civil Works expertise encompasses feasibility studies, benefit evaluation, cost sharing principles, program development, and authorization and appropriation testimony and legislation.
He has authored a large number of publications and made numerous national presentations on water resources issues, including benefits, costs and cost sharing. His affiliations and awards include the National Science Foundation, the American Economic Association, and Presidential Rank of Distinguished Executive.
Dr. Dickey holds a B.A. in Political Economy from The Johns Hopkins University and both M.A. and a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University.
